It’s hard to take photos that capture your children. Children are always running around and playing. That can be great for natural photo shoots, but it also means that photos usually come out blurry and do not really capture your child’s unique facial expressions.
We adore photos that demonstrate exactly what it means to be a child—the playfulness, the innocence, and the curiosity that children naturally have towards the world. All of our portraits seek to capture these child-like qualities in a way that you can remember forever.
We are the largest outdoor photography site in Western Australia. With plenty of natural settings for our pictures, it is easy for us to take photographs that really do represent your child’s inquisitive and playful nature. We have swings, trees, and nature walks through the forest where many of our clients enjoy taking photos.
You can also bring the props that best represent your child to the photo shoot: stuffed animals, books, bicycles, skateboards, surfboards, etc. A portrait is a great way to recall the activities that your child loved doing, and it can convey your child’s passion for a particular hobby.
Some parents prefer their children to wear more traditional, smart looking clothing for photo shoots. Others prefer outfits for particular occasions, like fairy costumes or ballerina outfits. We have been in the business of taking family portraits for more than 40 years. Our grandmother Shirley was the first professional female photographer in Western Australia. She brought her love of taking wedding photos to the rest of the family, and since then we have specialised in family portrait style photography.
At Premier Studio, we have won a number of awards for our dedication to taking outstanding and creative family portraits, including the Australian Family Photographer of the year award for the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers (AIPP) in 2012.
Our team of photographers are all award winning Master Photographers accredited with the AIPP. We care deeply about getting to know each of our clients’ needs before a photo shoot, so that we can understand what makes your family unique and what creates that special family bond. We make our photo shoots fun and have many different natural settings. We have 5 acres of land in Banjup and 2 acres in Bunbury. Our clients have taken photos on nature walks through our forests, lying in the grassy and flowery fields, swinging from a tree, and biking through the beaches. We will help you choose photo settings that seem natural to you and your family so you will all feel at ease.
We also believe that photos do not need to be heavily edited or subjected to overexposure. We will do some touch up, but we always do our best to ensure that your photos look great during the shoot.
We have many creative ideas for family photos. Some of our clients choose to pose with their dogs or horses. Others take tender pictures with their newborn babies. You can choose to embrace your family members in hugs or opt to have your family centred around a prop where you are all enjoying the same activity.
Our experienced photographers will process your photos in a matter of weeks. When they are ready you can come back to the studio to choose your favourites. We have a variety of photo finishes to suit any budget.
